Savage model 24 .22/.410 over under. Best chicken gun out there IMO.

The plus is you can enjoy catch and release - not so much with a .22 or shotgun.
The tough part is getting a clean back cast in the forest - more practical on the better dirt roads.

20 gauge over under Beretta. Modified 7.5 shot over I/C 6 shot. Got 43 last year.

Used to use a .22lr but now a 12ga since I found I was losing chances at birds that flew.

Usually use a 22 or a 20gauge. 22 for ditch chickens and 20 gauge for spooky blues. Got my first with and arrow this year
