Seeing a lot of runts this spring with only a glimpse of a truly big bear. He is a bear that has given myself and a few others the slip multiple times in the last few years. I even had to play hostage negotiator and talk my wife out of shooting a mid size bear. I think her itchy trigger fingers may get the best of her soon
You going to take your brother back out there?
I'm not sure if I'll be able to get out again with my brother this year. Our days off really don't line up and he's used all his vacation days already. I would have to try to take a Monday off, but that is currently a tough day for me to get off. He's definitely looking forward to the next time we can get out, whenever that may be. It might not be until fall though.
I hope that you are your wife will catch up with the big bear.

You have much different bears than we do over here.
That trail cam would not have lasted past the first bear, let alone then number it did.
Lost 5 cams to one bear a couple years back.
His 7'7" hide now adorns my buddy's fireplace room.
Cheers & Thanks for sharing!

I think the cam being there was a bit of a fluke. I had a lot of doubts about the whole set. I wasn't even sure if I had the camera pointed half decent so it wasn't just filming the ground... figured the camera would have been knocked down and chewed on like some of our other ones, or a person would find it. Also thought there was a good chance the carcass would be dragged away on day 1. I couldn't have asked for a much better outcome (other than some bigger bears or a squatch LOL)

I think that might (50/50) have been this bear
