Re: Could Salmon Fishing in BC become unavailable for Sports fishermen?

Thanks to the Horgan-Eby slimy NDP and there under table signing of UNDRIP , yes we as tax paying sportsman- sportswomen our hunting-fishing days are very sadly numbered .

Yup.... most of the ndp voters are in the lower mainland and island if I'm not mistaken... wish we could let them remain as BC, and the rest of us join Alberta and tell em' to pound sand..

It might be easier if you pick up stakes and moved there. I would not ever vote for EBY. But I also would not want to be albertan.

Well since it was brought up, What is so bad about Alberta? Over in Alberta once a person turns 65 they pay nothing for a freshwater fishing license. In BC once you turn 65, you can pay either $5.50, or the regular fishing license fee which is about $39/ year I believe. Only in BC.

I see EBY as giving everything away and pandering to a small group of people. Since the border between Alberta and BC won't change. That would mean I'd have to move to an area with little to no lakes. Every morning I get up I walk to the window and admire the view. Even in winter, I like it. https://i.imgur.com/ym0p96H.jpeghttps://i.imgur.com/oBt2mNI.jpeg

If the Alberta was so great, lake country BC wouldn’t be overrun by vacationing Albertans.
Re: Could Salmon Fishing in BC become unavailable for Sports fishermen?
No more ADHD... back on topic.
Of course "Sportfishing" is going to be eliminated.
Which is why I've been warning for decades that it is imperative that licensed hunters and fishers have the terms "Sport" and "Recreational" eliminated from the legislation, replace it with nomenclature that attaches itself to legal protections provided by Our weak ass Charter.
Re: Could Salmon Fishing in BC become unavailable for Sports fishermen?
If people vote in NDP this fall then it’s all over, fishing and hunting…
Re: Could Salmon Fishing in BC become unavailable for Sports fishermen?
Didnt all the bc parties unanimously vote in undrip?
Re: Could Salmon Fishing in BC become unavailable for Sports fishermen?
yes--- they had no idea of the consequences.
Re: Could Salmon Fishing in BC become unavailable for Sports fishermen?
Agreed. Sport and recreational are terms that don’t gather much support, in certain geographic areas.
Some states (Alaska?) recognize “sustenance” fisheries.

I was born and raised in BC. I moved to Alberta 15 years ago. I'm now a proud Albertan, it's pretty awesome. I'm glad.I'm not a BC'er anymore and would never want tp be one again.
