Well my buddy Matt who was with me on this hunt just flew home this afternoon for England. In his luggage was packed a beautiful bear rug (with all the required documentation and permits) that was done by Sooke Taxidermy.
Matt's wife was concerned that the bear head with the teeth would look to scary so she asked if it was possible to make the bear friendly looking:mrgreen:. So Jens did what Matt asked of him and made the bear so it didn't look like it was snarling.
What I thought at first was only a 5 1/2 foot bear was closer in reality to a 6 foot bear. Talk about a beautiful coat on this guy and it was taken on the long weekend of May.
A beautiful trophy, and memories that will last a lifetime for Matt.
