Re: Lets see your atv pull behind trailers
Loaded it with a forklift and unloaded it with another quad. It was designed to carry a quad out of the bush if need be. The tires are also meant to be able to be taken off and put onto any Polaris quad if a spare is needed. Walking beams are definitely the way to go for hauling anything.
heres a few more pics

Re: Lets see your atv pull behind trailers
Did you have to get different type of hubs to fit rims from trailer to quad?

Re: Lets see your atv pull behind trailers
How about your hitch style over a regular type hitch , do u find it pulls better or just for loading stuff with the winch
Re: Lets see your atv pull behind trailers
The hubs were from princess auto. Just regular 5 bolt hubs meant for small trailers i suppose. We then cut out a dual bolt pattern on a piece of 1/4" steel. Countersunk the one side and cut the heads off the 5 bolts, welded them in place and sanded smooth. Then just bolted the polaris rims up into the remaining 4 holes. The hitch is built that way so you can go over rocks and logs and it wont hit on the hitch. Its also handy when you can use the winch cable to a pully and pull anything you want into the back with the use of the roller on the front. If you have 2 quads, chainsaw winch or a come-along, then you just use the clevis thats at the top of the hitch tube. The trailer is designed to tilt and the aluminium bites into the rear tire and locks it in places while the hauling starts. Its pretty much a dumbed down ebrake. We made the pendulum a little far back and sometimes, all depending on the load, you have to push down on the front and it drops into place.

hmmmm hi Colin..I had this made for me..each side is one piece of steel rolled with a lip and side all one piece = strong it does tilt with a pin to release..Used high floatation tires for big loads and soft ground the floor is wood so water can escape...and the rear tailgate is wood so can be slid out, and replaced..havnt used it in 4 years...
