Go inland, Kamloops, Okanogan valley, Princeton in Sept or Oct. More game, more chances of success. Hunt where you see lots of fresh tracks.

The butcher would give you paperwork when you pick up the meat cut and frozen, show's you didn't cut it up yourself and evidence of species/sex etc...

Never tried tampons.....we did try some of those elk incense sticks, they didn't work on the elk but twice we had bull moose come to check them out.
