Always some ticks around the Pemberton area. Some years are worse than others. Lots of leeches in the local lakes in the last few summers, too....

Pretty freaky. That bear is for sure going to continue to be a problem. At close range a 22LR to the head will kill a bear. Not ideal but...

Lots of guys swear by 8X but I prefer 10x. I can hold them steady and if you practice a bit from various positions it's easy. I don't think I would...
