View Full Version : "Pop up" when loading HBC ?

Not sure if this is site related or not but when i try and load HBC on either my macbook or iphone I get a pop up site "link bucks site advertising" ?

Seems weird it is happening on both.
Anyone else seeing this ?

I'm not getting that.
Maybe you have some adware on your PC.

download and install CCleaner and see if that clears your history. I've not heard about pop ups here before??

I got it too. I had to change my homepage and then remove HBC from my favorites and then add it back to my favorites. Worked.

As SSS said.....it's happened from time to time over the years with various vBulletin sites. Sometimes you have to clear your cookies, delete the bookmark for the page etc.


A couple of other good "free" Malware solutions are MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware. I use both and run a scan weekly....it's amazing as I am very particular not to click on anything but weekly it'll pickup some tracking 'bots' or things of that nature.

no pop-ups, but every time I go to load huntingbc, it freezes up.
I can then click any other site in my favs and they'll load up no problem, but huntingbc always freezes.
hasn't done it today though.

I use a total of about 5 websites lol I hope it isn't a virus from HBC

i got the pop up too when my link was going to huntingbc.ca/forums....... i re entered the address huntingbc.ca only and it went through no problems

Well this damn pop is back, I deleted HBC from my favorites on my home computer and tried to re enter HBC from google ,now when I click on the the HBC site from the google page it brings the same pop up again so that I cant make that a favorite

I had it happen to me late last night, but it's gone this morning. Did you clear your history? I sent Marc and Spink a PM, despite work I trust they'll fix it when they can.

Don't use plain FTP, only SSH and SFTP. Otherwise it will happen again.
I've been dealing with this for the last 3 weeks on various servers.
