Just out of curiosity, is there any place close to Abbotsford where I can fish from shore to catch a sturgeon?? I've never fished for them before, and would like to give it a whirl. Any info would be appreiciated.

Go east out of mission on the number 7 hwy till you come to a tourist info booth on your left, park and walk down the river on the beaten path. It is real easy to find, and you WILL catch fish there just be patient. There will always be two hot fishing periods per day there depending on what the tide is doing.
Have fun.

You can do pretty well sturgeon fishing from shore you just have to drop a line here and there and discover a honey hole of yer own. look on maps of the fraser and try to locate deep holes neer shore and start from there. also try any docks you know of . Im headin to my honey hole now and i have done very well this year there.
