Don't get this, I'm trying to post links to threads on THIS site, and condense it using the <a href="URL LINK"/> MY TEXT HERE</a>

Anyone know how I can do this, so i don't have a huge long URL, simply linked text?

Not sure what you're taking about, have you recently updated your web brouser as I knew there were issues with the newest version of explorer. Ill contact the web master to have a look.

Show Spink the code above, Marc. He'll know what I mean. Using Firefox 16.0.1

Hmm, I've never done it that way using <a> tags. I use the [ u r l = h t t p : / / blah.com ]Text you want underlined[ / u r l ] syntax and that is still working.

I don't think we have ever allowed HTML in posts, have we? Do you have examples of where this would have been done in the past?

The forum has it's own short hand for creating links, etc like reach suggested above.

Test:

[ u r l = http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/showthread.php?88087-Wolf-and-Coyote-Database-Mainland-BC ]Wolf Database Mainland BC (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/showthread.php?88087-Wolf-and-Coyote-Database-Mainland-BC)[ / u r l ]

Not working for me,....where's my Syntax wrong?

Looks like just posting the url automatically converts it to a link. If you want to make a word a link, just do what reach suggested, without spaces. Or highlight the text you want as the link and press the hyperlink button on the editor (world with the chain link).

Sorry Spink, still can't put links in my Sigline. Anytime i put a straight link, or a URL> Text link, my entire sigline vanishes.
