I'm in the process to buy a boat for duck/geese hunting and fishing.
Marshes, Fraser, Lakes, around the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. I'm not concerned about Pitt Marsh, I have a small boat for that.
My requirements are: aluminum, all welded, easy to put a blind on it, open layout, 14' to 16', light enough to be moved in case stuck in the mudflats, stable, and bit coastal sea worth for sea ducks, that would be nice but it's hard to get a boat for all. I looked a few different designs from Lund, G3 Yamaha, Legend and Lowe, and the one that I think would work fine is the Lowe Roughneck Frontier 1546 with a Mercury 25 HP prop. Any opinions and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Always buy a foot longer then you'll think you need. It's always the case unfortunately.

The Lowe Roughneck boat won't do good in those sea conditions. Now I'm leaning more towards the Lund 14' with a 25 HP. I met a guy at the boat ramp tonight, and he had it for many years, no leaks, he uses for fishing and duck hunting. I thought that most of the riveted boat would leak after few years.

I prefer a v hull .they turn sharper and handle chop a lot better.i use a 14' with a 25 and throw camo netting over the boat and motor.

Exactly like that, but with a 25 HP EFI Merc on it. They have one in stock in Langley.

There's nothing that Lund will do that the Roughneck won't do better. Those mod-v's take big water better than u think. When it comes to casting and shooting there is no comparison.
