......Is this shoot still on? If so, who's going?

Why doesn't anyone from the Vic Bowmen Club come on here and promote the club, the sport, and/or the events?!?

Am I the only unofficial club promoter around?? (it's lonely at the top:-( )

I think this shoot is at the Malahat club.
If you stil have Martin's # give him a call and find out, then let us lowly pee-ons knowhttp://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif

The shoot is still on. Come one come all. Martin said he will have it set up Sat. and the shoot is normal time on Sunday. It should be a fun shoot, and come to win a turkey. Steve. Oh and its at the Malahat.

Is there anyone here from the Vict. Bowmen? I know that a few of them have, and use, computers - so where are you? Don't be the shy, retiring, or wallflower type. Wade in here and speak up. It's the peak of the rut - your necks must be huge. Not to mention your gonads.http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_6.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYJOCA)

Hope the weather cooperates for the shoot this weekend. All we need is the Malahat to be decent and for the road down to the archery range to be passable. There shouldn't be too much snow in under the trees.

Steve - can you get Martin to post if the shoot is cancelled?

Unfortunately Martin is in Vancouver until Friday, the shoot is still on at this point in time. The weather seems to be cooperating for the shoot with the rain.

I just talked to Martin and the shoot is unfortunately off. There is just too much snow to get in to the range. Please tell everyone that you know that was going.
Steve.

Bowsitter you can hope for more snow, to keep you from putting the lights up. But then again the boss will tell ya to pound sand, if you wanted to use that excuse because you planned on going to the shoot eh!!! it sucks either way!!!

To make you feel better I was given direction to get them up last saturday, just before the snow, now who's whipped??

Not a total loss all together..........spent the day in Nanaimo with my "tiny" bro and my "best-est" nephew tweaking the setups, making a few arrows, and generally just hanging out.

Headed up to the Nan. Fish & Game Club in the afternoon to test out the tweaks to see if they worked. There is still plenty of snow up there, but a little less in under the trees.

If it finally warms up like it is supposed to, then the conditions will be great for the N F G turkey shoot next Sunday.

They really gotta do something about their initials!

'twas a bit of a drive up there and back, but all in all a fine way to spend a Sunday.
