Hunting and fishin stores seem to have some. Some are costly, but more comfortable. I bought some columbia brand ones with two side pockets which are super warm, green in colour and comfy.. great for being up in a tree stand for hours...

Lots of places have what they call heavy weight wool pants like a military cargo pant but if you want the really thick, heavy ones, 3 Vets is the only place that still carries them. Lots of guys that work in the bush wear these. Big different in weight between these and most others. Of the 2 pairs my husband has, one is Pioneer and the other Thermo King brand.

Definately try the surplus stores.....i shop at the one on front street in New West as well. Have a couple pairs from there...one even has plastic er some type of water proofing in the arse and the legs. Good fer the snow.

What about stanfields pants? Wear them under your jeans/hunting pants.

Wool pants vests bibs and coats can be had through Marks Workwear but the stores don't have them in stock except the codet pants so I've learned. Good melton wool pants in two styles for less than 75 bucks with a discount card. Everything else by special order made in Canada by Big Bill back east. No catalogue available but can view products on line at www.codet.com (http://www.codet.com). I had satisfaction from them as I couldn't find affordable wool for myself.

Just bought a set of Stanfields from Marks new store on Marine Way. New Murino wool and polyester combo. Man are they comfy and warm. No scratchy ass either. Go 2pc. Also have the wool pants from 3Vets and a good selection of wool socks too.
