I am hoping to get a used bow this winter and I am not sure where to go. Does anyone know if Royston archery is still open? I am probably going to get a compound but I would consider a traditional bow too.

Ask for Rick Phipps in Peters.......he should be able to put you on to something worthwhile.

If not, check out Archery Talk dot com, they have a ton of used equipment for sale. Everyone wants to upgrade at this time of year - great time to pick up a deal.

A good place to look is at Peters Sports in Downtown Courtany. Ask for Rick. They sell both compounds and traditional. Myself, I shoot trad as I like the challange.

If your looking for a new traditional bow down the road try Archerybymail.com. I bought my Checkmate Hunter II there and I almost cried when I opened the box, it was so beautiful. Also if you are interested in making your own arrows, try Hexshafts.com. I drove up to Vernon from Kelowna to buy a dozen and they are great.
