Hey guys,

A question for you hound hunters. What do you do if your dogs end up on a Grizzly? I just got a call from a friend of mine who's dogs took off and are hot on the heels of a large grizzly (obviously unintentional). The bear takes a few strides and takes a swat, takes a few more strides and takes another swat.

He thinks he's going to lose a dog or two. I'm curious as to what you think he can do?

BTW this grizzly is not far from Eastgate.:-(

any bear (black or grizz) can kill a hound all the bear has to do is focus on one dog at a time or take advantage of a carless hound .
I think that all he can hope for is his hounds are smart enough not to get tagged to bad . Did he actually see the bear? ..

You guys that do have hounds, do you hunt cougars often, and if so, where?

Great News, and yes, there are Griz in that area. They ought to be in a real pissy mood after the upset from that fire. Fred
