Was thinking of heading out to Canoe pass on Friday morning. Has anybody made it out there this year yet?

I noticed a couple snows out there today, but only a few. Another month i guess before the big numbers show.

I've been out a couple of times and not much flying out there.
I saw my first flock of snows come in on Tuesday but they flew over to Westham Island and went a little north from there.

The ducks have been fairly scarce too.

so when will be the best time to go there for ducks hunting ? any suggestion ? thanks!!!

We need some cold weather to push all the ducks up North down. Thats when it will get good.

exactly. last year there was way more at this time but it was about 10 degrees colder at this time last year.

don't get out there. we were out last sunday (like almost every sunday for the last month) and there were 20 guys out.normally there have been 4-6 guys out. This time it was a shooting gallery with guys(and some boys) taking shots at birds 150-200 yards up from all around us.

my favourite moment was when about a dozen snows were being blown back over our heads and these idiots shot in our direction from 150 yards away. We were 3 seconds from a 30 yard shot and instead they flared the birds AND shot in our direction :mad: . and yes the shooters knew we were there.
