I got my Bushnell TrailScout Pro 3.0 megapix, LED flash w/ nightvision. Animals cant even detect the flash going off. Downside is that when set on night mode, the pics seem black and white, but Id rather put up with pics like that, and be stealthy. ;)

I set it up on opening morning and checked it today, here's a pic of a mulie I captured. (also had a moose pic - but it didn't turn out too well due to darkness and moose was walking away).

Ill add more pics to this thread as I get them :D

That's kind of cool. Gives you the date and time the picture was taken. How big of a memory card does it have and how often does it take pictures? For example if a deer is standing infront of it feeding will it keep taking pictures or is there a time delay in between pictures?

Marc, I got 64MB & 128 MB cards for it, I just switch them.
I got it set to take a picture every 30 seconds, but I can change that to 1 min & 2 min intervals. I can set it to take pics from 6am to 6pm, from 6pm to 6am only, or 24 hour (which it is set to).

I think Im gonna go out and try to find a more traveled trail this afternoon for it

The more I see these things, the more I think I need one!! Can they be set for motion or are they just timed?

Can't wait for the other pics.

Im surprised I got this pic, as the area the cam is in isn't really known for its bears :D

Oh youre gong to learn alot about what is and isnt there. The worst for me was getting my cam downnloading it to the laptop then getting home and realizing there was only 2.5 hours between the last animal and the picture of you walking up to it. Sounds ok so far right. The last picture before me was a large couger:eek:

I have a Bushnell Trail Cam but have yet to use it in the field. I bought it as it uses SD cards which my Canon Digital Camera I use in the field uses as does my palm, subsequently I can take the card straight out of the Trail Cam and put it in my camera or Palm and see the pictures while I'm still in the field. A great piece of kit.

what if someone walks up and steals your nice expensive camera?

todbartell
09-25-2006, 02:49 PM
then it would be stolen

It comes with a lock, but right now I just have it hanging on a tree from the mount I screw in to the tree. (on private land)

Im gonna find a better way to hang it, and a way to lock it 8)

Good promotion for Bushnell, Firebird. :D

I am looking to buy a trail cam or two and have done some research. The Bushnell Trail Scout Pro has some very interesting features such as night vision.

My question to you. Where did you purchase the camera? Here in Canada? What Company?

Thanks for the info this thread helped me to make up my mind.
