Hi guys, I was reading the latest edition of Handloader, under the editorial new products I came across this article on Hodgden Xperimental Packs. 8O I think it's about time. Hope I can get my hands on a magnum rifle pack. :D
Here's the breakdown of the 3 xperimental packs they'll offer in limited supply. Copied for Hodgdon's site.

Another first from Hodgdon Powder Company! A completely new concept in reloading! For the price of a one pound container, a reloader will now have the opportunity to sample four different powders to see what works best with his gun and "experiment" with loads from four specific burning rates. Each Xperimental pack contains four 4 oz. bottles of different powders best suited for each caliber listed on the box. Each Xperimental pack will be specific, i.e., Hunter, Rifle, Light Varmint, and Magnum Rifle.

Xperimental Packs will be in limited supply.

Light Varmint: H322, Benchmark, H335, Varget
Hunter Rifle: Varget, H4895, H414, H4350
Magnum Rifle: H4350, H4831, H1000, Retumbo

Too bad they didn't sell small jugs for load development. I guess a guy could always do trades with other reloaders.

I have used extra powder for starting the "magic campfire" in cubs works great with a bulb element and some wire. The load pack would sure be nice though for developing rounds it is alot of fun just to try different powders for the magic load.
