OUr newest member of the family arrived at YXX from Ontario on Sunday.

Odin - our new GSP :)

Right after landing we head up to the kootneys with him for a bit of early archery (no luck, will post story in another thread) and chicken. Puppy did great. Pic's are of the pup 'hard at work' and of me, poguebilt and a chicken.

Ya just gotta love a GSP. Their ears are as soft as butter. Get him used to all the action/noise young and he will be a treasure. GREAT dogs with the kids. I take it your gonna hunt him!!??

yep, he'll be hunted :) never even blinked at the first gun shot - gun shy he's not. He's still a little unsure of the chickens though, I think its because they are still bigger than him.

Thanks - he's a little hell-bringer most times, but when he finally calms down he's a great pup :) wouldn't trade'm for anything.
Had him up at the lake last weekend (and this) and he discovered snow for the first time (some pics in the gallery or at www.bcexplorers.com/gallery/Lee/Odin/ (http://www.bcexplorers.com/gallery/Lee/Odin/))

Nice looking pup. GSP is one breed I'm thinking about when I retire and have lots of time for one. A well built GSP is a very striking dog!
