It's just about that time of the year for tuning in the broadheads.
I am in need of a broadhead target. I am assuming the broadheads will tear up my Deadstop bag.

What's the target to use, and where can I find one?

thanks

I just tied some foam blocks together and it works fine.

morellos yellow jacket broadhead target is the way to go for broadheads.
you can get them cheap on ebay or try bowhunterssuperstore.com
or exploreproducts.com

they might have them as well.

If you dont want to buy online come down to abbotsfords big game archery
and buy a target.

I have a morrell's carbon six shooter. I've only used one side so far and i've shot 50 to 100 arrows nightly for 2 months with it and not come close to passing thru. I think I paid $70.00 at bga here in abbotsford. it has sides for target and broadheads. I'm very happy with it.

abby's a bitch of a drive from Richmond.
Gas in the thirsty Hemi is going to cost as much as the target.

It sounds like Morrell may be the way to go.

buy a bag of peat moss one of those squere bales put a hole in the top. run some water in it it will kind of harden. you should put some cover around it and old tarp or sometning shoot it when you are dun put it on the old ladys flower bed.

now that's what I am looking for.
Perfect sealevel.
Why the cover? for excess shooting to keep the peat in.

Will a bale of wet peatmoss stop a broadheaded arrow?

I use an ethafoam block with a replaceable 8" core. Can withstand lots of hits.

"On the cheap" however, you can use a burlap bag filled with shrink wrap type plastic. I get it from a local tack / feed distributor. It can be a bugger to pull the broadhead back through. I use this for field points. Best part......it's nearly free!

I shot the 'dry' peatmoss last night.
Broadheads are grouping well, right along with the field points.

broadheads, and fieldpoint bury to the fletching.

The broadheads penetrated into my bag target in behind, and they are a b*tch to get out.

when they penetrate through you should just push them all the way through instead of trying to pull em back out where they came.

I am not sure, I am practicing with a thunderhead that I purposely dulled, and spray painted red.
