That is a steal. I just bought one new less than a month ago. All rigged up it set me back over $1500. Heck, the bow alone is $875 new.

Wouldn't have helped me though...My draw is just over 30.5". Had to tweak the 30" to get an extra quarter and then added a longer string loop, trigger forward release etc, to make up the rest.

Cheers,
4Ster

Let's see the setup...............it sounds good. What is the mass weight of the bare bow? What are the modules that go with it?

hey guys, sorry, i forgot to mention evertything. it also has a sling, and i'll throw on a camo hydraulic stabilizer(x-ring). actually what the heck i have a tru ball caliper release i will throw in too. now as for the modules, there is none. the bow is draw length specific. if you are a 28.5 to 29.5, you are okay. because you can shoot the loop. i will get some pics posted right away as soon as i can. its just im getting a new bow and my 6'1 wife does not approve of me having 3 bows. :???: . heheheheh the only thing anyone would really need is a set of sights and some arrows and youare rocking. very nice bow to shoot too, no shock, silent, smooth draw and very stable. 33" axle to axle. 7" brace height. 318 i.b.o. until i get some pics up, anyone interested check it out at www.mathews.com (http://www.mathews.com)

Is there any 10xs left in that bow ?

Thanks for the info..........but it is a bit heavier than I am looking for.

Not that you'll need the help selling at that price, but here's an additional plug...

I am shooting Easton ST Axis Obsession arrows with mine. Its set up at 73 lbs peak draw. The arrows weigh 521 grains (125gr field pt) and I am getting 259 fps, for 76 ft-lbs of energy.

And it is silent and no noticable shock. The draw is smooooth.

So now that brings me to an obvious question.....why the heck are you selling yours?

Cheers,
4Ster

actually that new hoyt is taken care of . its just that the switchback is such a nice bow, i want someone to use it. whether it be hunting 3-d or whatever. and merv, there is more than enough 10x's left in this bow. its been good to me. its just i have a new target bow on the way and i dont want to see it sit. thats why i am selling it. im going to be shooting for hoyt so....well im sure you understand.

yes some of us are not blessed with a 47"draw length are we mike?hehe. yeah i told everyone in town here what im selling it for and they all told me to quit huffing on the glue container. oh well as long as someone gets it and enjoys it thats all i care about. i mean there is not a mark on the thing. it also treated me fairly well on the 3-d course. really looking forward to that inferno ultra elite though. decided im going to shoot paper this fall and next year too.

Trying to convince the wife.........is it still available?

BTW. I am looking for my first bow for hunting. Would this set up be good for that? Be gentle, I know nothing

Elkhound.....the setup Jesse has for sale would be enough to go hunting any game animal on the North American continent. Seriously.

I would jump on it but the poundage is just a tad too high for these old short arms of mine. I'm down to 28.5" draw with a max. of about 55 - 57 pounds.

Elkhound

I have practised a little with a 53lb recurve. I am hoping a jump to 60lbs would not be too much.

elkhound,

yea the bow is still available. as far as a first bow, this thing might be considered a cadillac. most entry level bows are more expensive after you put the same accesories on it. oh hell, i'll even throw in a case to ship it in. come on guys. 525 is giving it away. the bow alone is worth around
900 bucks!!!!

Elkhound, My Mathews Feathermax is a 60 to70 pound bow and I have it backed off to 56 pounds. It still works quite well at that poundage. If you don't get one-upsmanship then this bow would last you either a lifetime or until something happened to it(heaven forbid). The price is excellent too. I paid way more than that for my older Mathews and all of the add-ons. Fred

Jesse, your offering a great bow for a steal. Guys this is great shooting bow and would be hard to duplicate this sale. I bought my used 05 mathews ovation last year for $650.00 and thought I got a great deal, If I had the bucks I would be jumping all over this one. It is a very forgiving bow you just can't go wrong getting this bow if it fits you.
