Whent out of Sooke and at about 5 am hooked into a nice fish. Saw the fish twice! About 20-25 lbs. fish took off about 100 yards and I lost it after about 15 min.

A good run of fish seemed to move in!!
Sat. we boated a 20lb and 22lb and lost 4!
One was big. Snapped off on the surface after a good fight.

Lots of bait in the water and a few sockeye jumping around. Hope they open soon.

Flat calm seas and the sun was shining. Doesn't get any better than that.

Lucky, you should probably head back up to C.R. Obviously you've gotten rusty not fishing with me the last couple years. Book some time off and I'll give you a refresher course on:

A) How to tie knots
B) How to loosen your drag
C) How to use the net (because knowing you, I'm sure you lost at least one netting one from behind)
D) How to drink responsibly (I'm sure that explains the rest of the lost fish)

Let me know.

LOL!! Nice work Beer!!

Do you remember fishing?? It's what we used to do before you shacked up and had a kid. LOL!!

A few lessons I should refresh you on...

How to buy a boat that runs

How to maintain a boat so that it still runs

How to maintain a trailer

How to get from point A to point B with your boat on the trailer

The importance of insurance on your vehicle, the importance of camping permits, how to avoid large fines

And finally... how to win a game of Rock Paper Scissors with the RCMP

PS. Are you allowed back to Nootka yet??

Fished Pedder area, up to Church, July 11th and 13th.
Two 7 hr days on the boat, only a few good spring hits, none stayed on, a few dogs and small ling cod. Just the time of the year I guess.
Will be back out in late Aug.
