Will be house-boating with family south of Fernie next month for 4 days. Kookanusa lake.
Anyways, I will want to wet a line and have a question or 2 if anyone has experience in the area.
We will be carring on to Vancouver Island right after, so I will have some gear. I have fished the coast before, but not the interior. I'l have 3 ten ft mooching rods & reels, 2 Rapala RCS 1060 rods, and 2 Diawa M-one reels.and anothe diawa 275 reel & rod, full & half size flashers, buzz bombs and some Apex's.
I don't expect the houseboat to have down rigger gear, but hopefully rod holders. So, on a slow troll, could I do OK with a half pound of slip weight, half flashers and an Apex ?
How far down would I need to get my gear for some action ?
What fish can I expect ? Size limits, I'm sure ?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
