The UBBC was formed in 2004 following a meeting with then Minister of Environment Bill Barisoff to raise the profile of bowhunters in BC. Until that time bowhunters had no effective voice. Minister Barisoff said that if we could unite the province's bowhunters we would be considered as stakeholders in the management of game in the province. A lot of work has been done over the past months and I'm pleased to report that we now have an executive and several regional directors. We have also recently launched our website. http://www.UBBC.ca

The UBBC is an organization working for bowhunter recognition and bowhunting opportunity throughout the province. The UBBC has no facilities or equipment to maintain nor does it hold events such as 3D shoots or gatherings at this time. There are plenty of clubs to fill those roles and we do not want to interfere with their activities. Much of our work can be done using email and teleconferencing. Our major expenses will be the upkeep of our communication tool – the website and occasional travel on UBBC business. We are therefore able to keep membership costs low.

The cost of a membership in the UBBC is as follows:
a) Individuals: $5.00 per year, $10.00 for 3 years, $50.00 for life membership
b) Affiliate Clubs: $75.00

The benefit of membership is the strengthening of the bowhunters voice in BC. The more members we have the more powerful our voice will be.

If you are passionate about this wonderful sport and way of life please join us.

If you are interested in becoming a director for your region please contact us at info@ubbc.ca

Thanks alot Coyote. This has been a long time coming. Thanks for all the hard work put in to support the bowhunters of BC. You will be rewarded 10 fold probably, when you reach the happy hunting ground. Maybe it won't be that long now that the bowhunters of BC have a voice. Oh yea, and the happy hunting grounds should be BC.

;) Fifty dollars seems like a good deal for a Life Membership . No renewals to worry about and no doubt the price will increase in the future as the organization grows and costs of operation rise .
;) Count me in !!!!!!
