my bear

OK ill have my own post for this. We were coming off the North Nehacko onto a road called the mcfee, we were half way down the road and i looked down the road and a blackie walked out, 5 seconds with the spotting scope on the window mount and we decided he was a shooter about 250 yards down the road i could'nt stalk because i was in the wide open so it ook the shot and he dropped instantly broke both shoulders and got the lungs, i couldnt keep the fur and make a rug like i wanted cuz it had little bugs in its fur everywhere, the meat sure is good though. anyways ill take some pics with the skull when my dad gets home cuz i dont know where the hell he put it.

First of all congrats on the bear.

Second, Why did you let some bugs make you throw the bear hide away??????

Take the hide off and throw it in a heavy duty garbage bag and toss it in the freezer until its frozen solid then take it to the taxidermist and he'll take it from there. That'll kill all them bugs

I have one that my brother got done and it had wood ticks in it like you wouldn't believe, hundreds of them. No problems

no it was losing fur had patches out of it you will see if my dad ever takes my pics to get developed, im not sure what it had but it wasnt a very good rug material o ya 6'7 nose to tail

The lower jaw and most of the nose is missing.

If in fact thats a bear skull you will not get an accurate measurment from that skull.

Maybe you got your pics mixed up because I have done lots of bear skulls and they sure don't look like that.

That skull seems to have eyes facing sideways like say a moose. A bear has more forward facing eyes. By the look of the eye sockets it would be one hell of a bug eyed bear as well..........

I could be wrong of course. Congrats on the bear 6'9" is a brute.
