The ice should be coming off my favourite lakes soon.
That has me thinking about how to solve the problems from last year!
-I have a 1 ton van, with an after market roof rack onto which I load an 8 foot fibreglass boat
-my problem is: the rack is about 7 feet high, so when I put the bow of the boat against the rack and lift, it slides sideways
-if I have a helper it's no problem, but if it's just the wife and I, she's too short to help me out
I'm thinking a shop could extend the rack back and build some stops to help out
-does anyone know of a shop in the Surrey or Kamloops area which could help me out?
