I'm thinking of putting a 9.9 on my 30' sailboat. Anybody have a personal review. Anyone have one for sale.

We have one on our 20' bayliner. Plenty of torque for those nasty Island winds and tide changes. Should be more than adequate for your boat.

We have one on our 26 foot sea ray and it works very good.:)

They are a very popular if not the most popular kicker type motor right now. You should have no problem with it on your boat. There are lot's around so check the buy sell and trade and periodically check out these guys for used inventory http://www.portboathouse.com/ or http://www.sherwoodmarine.com/used_motors.asp or

There is a used one for sale at Silver Streak in Sooke. I think the sign says $1000, but I could be wrong
