Im gunna try and make it. I'll be in Kelowna all weekend, it just all depends on when I play hockey on sunday. If I play early, I'll come and check things out on my way home. What time will it run to? Does any one know? I also wont be shooting, bow is in the mail still.

Well, it doesnt look like I'll be headin to the shoot in Penticton on sunday. Im endin up takin my hockey coach and a friend on the way back from Kelowna, unless they wanna stop, I dont see me stoppin in :(:( Man this sucks.

It went very well, cowboy! Very nicely laid out, no shots that were extraordinarily long, but lots of challenges. The weather was lovely, although a little cool when the wind blew.

Guys I saw there included walksalot, Fred, and jaeger. Don't know if BC4Bowhunter was there or not; too bad you couldn't come, because you missed a fine time.

In spite of an altercation with an arrow-devouring bush, I managed a third place. First shoot of the year you're allowed a couple distance estimating glitches, aren't you? Lots of fun, though.

A big thanks to all the hard working Penticton guys who organized the event.

WOW, thats awesome. Glad you had fun! Im sorry I missed it, but I guess I cant go to them all. I would have loved to be there though! Sounds like I did miss out on one helluva shoot. Ah well, theres always next time!

I nailed a Pine right solid and had to break off the arrow so as not to leave a mess, lost one and nailed a rock and bent one. Also tore the vanes on two other arrows loose but heck, my scores did improve over last time! :redface:
I didn't get to shoot with any of the other HBC members but still met some fine people and had a good time.:mrgreen:
Cliff, rather than trying to get to all of the events, how about just getting to one of them? ;-) Fred

Dang, BC4B, I'm sorry I missed seeing you. Next time. It was a fine day, was it not?

Even thought there were several HBC members there, it always seems difficult to hook up. Some are out on the course already when others arrive, then the earlier ones are in for lunch and gone again before the later ones finish the first round, and so on. I did get to meet a fellow I had sold a bow to a couple months ago, even though we didn't know each other from a hole in the ground.

A big thanks to all that helped make our shoot a success. I followed Canuck2's group around for a while and there was a traditional archer in their midst who, from what I saw, was an increadible shot.

BC4B, I don't know if I'll get to the Summerland one or not. Now that it has been switched from mid April to May 7, there is a definite possibility of going there. The mid April date had me hooped because I'll be going to the BC Indoors at Quesnel then. Will see how things develop and I'll keep you notified of May 7. Fingers crossed.
