Hi all, I was going to go look at some camo clothing this weekend for this springs' Turkey hunt. I guess I'm looking for suggestions on which store/pattern to use. I see everything in mossy oak breakup, does that work well here in southern B.C.? I don't mind ordering by inernet or mailorder either, so any help at all is appreciated;-) .

For me there is only two patterns that work where ever you hunt and what ever season it is and that is ASAT and Predator. Tried every pattern there is over many years and chose the afore mentioned patterns due to an eye opening reseach I did some years ago.

Today you could pay me a huge sum of money and I would not wear any other camouflage patterns. If you go with a fashion brand it is best to wear two different colours. Use a darker pattern, such as Mossy Oak, on your upper body and a lighter pattern such as Atvantage or Mossy oak Shadow Grass on the lower part of your body. With that combination you will blend better into the environment. Your upper body leaning against a tree, while turkey hunting, will be close to the colour of the tree bark while the lighter coloured pants will fit better in with the lighter coloured ground.

For turkey hunting don't forgert to wear a full camouflaged face mask and gloves too. Turkeys eyesight is rivalled by eagles only. Turkeys seem to spook when they see a face or bare hands but I have never seen a turkey spook about a non camouflaged shotgun.

I found that my old Tiger Stripe worked quite well but now it is almost white with age. :-? Fred

Break Up is a good pattern, very popular. that is no doubt because Mossy Oak does alot of business with clothing makers.

I do personally think there are better camo patterns that do not Blob Up as a solid mass at longer range.

off the top of my head, one is Prairie Ghost

predator camo is another good one

Try some Army-Surplus stores. Or Brigade Quartermasters (http://www.actiongear.com/cgi-bin/tame.exe/agcatalog/index.tam).

Well I "pulled the trigger" I picked up a 3-d outfit from ASAT, it came highly recomended in both pattern and durability and looks fantastic in the photos I've seen. I'll post my results after the spring Turkey hunt!

Thanks all who replied,
Corey
