About a year ago Mr. Bill posted on another forum, a wonderful photo of a Brant that the moment I saw it I knew I had to make that pose as a decoy for my Brant rig!

I love funky poses and love to carve rigs that belong together, the last few years I've barely done a bird for myself, focusing on keeping my very patient, customers happy. Last month a piece of white cedar I brought from New Brunswick told me it was time to add the Mr. Bill bird to my rig, 'cause March 1st (BC's Brant opener) wasn't coming any slower!
So here it is, ready to ride the waves (well almost) Monday and hopefully bring a pair of Brant to hand. A point of peculiarity, there are 3 different kinds of cedar on this bird, Eastern white, Yellow and Spanish! Painted in oils with a new technique I'm playing with on the breast, the sides I'm only so so with, but it'll look good on the water, I hope!
