Got out yesterday for a couple hours and set the prawn traps and jigged for salmon while waiting. Too many seal lions around for the fishing to be good but pulled out about 100 fat prawns. Yum.

Nice work Blacktail......we threw down some crab traps in English Bay on Saturday and managed to get ourselves 16 keepers.....had an oustanding feast with some friends on Saturday night. I'll be prawning through next weekend though!

My friend and i are going to head over to port mcneil for some prawns. anyone know how many the two of us can legaly bring home frozen?

Each licence holder can keep 200 per day or a 400, 2 day possession limit. I heard the fine for any prawn over that amount is like a two bucks a prawn !

There is. They are called "Fairy Shrimp" and Trout love them! Might be hard to shell and batter them though!! :roll: :grin: Fred
