Yes this is shamless advertising but as the chance for some is just too good to pass up I'll put it here, for those inclined to try their hand at Archery hunting in Africa minus all land costs, (about $4000 US) here is your chance.
The "Terrace Whiskey Jacks" will be having their annual 3D shoot on the 13-14th weekend of May 2006 at Rosswood 40 Km north of Terrace.
Anyone who is a registerd shooter at the 3D shoot can buy a ticket ($20) for the draw, a ten day African Archery Safari, which includes all land costs. Last year the deal was you had to bring one full paying person with you. This year there is no such qualifier. Your name gets drawn all you have to do is pay for your airline tickets there, and your spending 10 days Archery Hunting in Africa. Last year the odds were 1 in 35 of being drawn, not bad odds. It also includes tags for one Warthog and one Impala. Other tags can be purchsed in one is so inclined.
'The Safari is an 10 day all-inclusive door to door hunt(of the airport that is) and includes:
-pickup and transport to and from airport
-accommodation , meals, soft drinks wine and beer
-a qualified PH(guide) and trackers
-daily laundry
-skinning, field preparation and transport of trophies to taxidermist
-one warthog and an impala
