Hard to beat a day like this! Shot half a box of shells, busted two with the old SxS, shot two 1st time ducks (pintail! greenwing!), and I just woke up from an hour long nap in time to catch the battle of alberta. I'm bagged :)

What a great day:wink:

Your photographs are incredible. Either you are a natural, you've looked at National Geographics all your life, or you've had training.

Ever considered a career as a Photographer ?:-D

People keep saying that, and I keep denying it :D I just hold the camera still.

Well PGK , you're a humble and modest man.

Holding the camera still is one thing, but you've show great composition and artistic flair.;-)

I'm of the firm belief that anyone who wants to take good photographs, can take good photographs. I'm using a $150 camera, and I just take a lot of pictures...something turns out eventually. There are a couple members who are proving me right by taking similar photos with great results! I did get lucky with that spruce grouse though, probably one of my all time favourites

 Not sure, gun's been in the fam for years. We actually have two of the same now, as I've inherited my uncles. I read Louis Lamour.
Thanks Hermie

Great photos as always. Looks like a real "ducky" spot. Are you using a dog for retrieves? That double looks almost too nice to be taking to the duck pond (that's my style too by the way);). Might as well use it for what it was made for. No sense leaving it in the safe:cool:.

Nice work PGK, looks like one hell of a great day to me! I really like that pic of the Spruce. I might save that one to my comp:)

How are you retrieving your ducks? Do you use a boat, or what?

The water was shallow in both areas. Able to wade out and grab em. While I was wading out to get the Pintail a couple of Wigeon locked up and sailed into the dekes about 10y away  This could be a good spot. They are stoooooopid

Did you go for a hike up Teapot after the shoot?;-)

PGK

I leave the hiking of that hill to the hippies. I just like to make loud noises all around it to keep them on their toes  I did climb it once as a kid, to say I've done it.

Nice shoot! That's a good spot, in particular when the surrounding areas freeze up ;)

Looks like a great day there man. I've wondered about walking the old trail on the east side of the river looking for chickens. I too love the old SxS you used. Going to enter any of those pics to the F&W club photo comp? LOL

I'm interested in knowing the make and model of that camera.

I havea Pentax Optio and frankly, the photos are the shits.

This is one of my better efforts

Thanks brew, I'm not really 'into photography', I just use a little point and shoot, hold it still and try to get an interesting perspective.
