Anyone know if the milo Hanson buck is still the typical record? I thought it had been bettered. Zoomin jr. told me not so.

If a semi-blind, one armed six year old was to fabricate a set of antlers... I'm positive he would do a better job. Outdoor life is a tabloid for dumb city dwelling fools who think they are hunters. To me it looks like other antlers have been attached, a bit of wood fill, lots of sanding and recoloring. I may be wrong but if it is a fake, i kind of think he went way too much overboard to the point that it looks totally ridiculous and non believable.

One could never reach a definitive conclusion on the authenticity of these antlers by this photo. One would absolutelly need to have the antlers in hand.

Each year new claims to world records are made. It sells hunting magazines.;-) So far nobody has come close and a few were proven to be fake. We will see which way it will go with this one. It’s impossible to say from the picture if it had been “doctored” and since there are two sets of antlers tangled up with each other it is hard to say just how many points each has and guess a measurement. Like I said we will see what happens in the near future. I am not holding my breath.

If you look at the right antler ou will see what appears as "another" antler (base/main beam/G1).

Look at photo #2 and you will see the antler base.

Also another antler on the right (main beam/last point/different color).

The Hanson buck is a beauty. This thing is a monstrosity, just butt ugly. I don't care if it is real or not.
