Stop tempting me Daryll!!!

I have half a mind to make the 9-hour drive to the EK just to knock your turkeys... :D

Looking at those pictures I can see why the Primos DVD on turkey hunting suggests carrying some blaze orange on your back when carrying your turkey out.
I realize you're not likely to find an upside down turkey floating through the woods but I also don't want to have to explain that to a trigger happy hunter while I have a nice 12 gauge hole in my back.

you may be right sapper, i think i will bring a vest for my birds to wear..that camo really does blend in, but i have never seen a turkey upside down either,,lol

I'm just jealous b/c we didn't have any success on the weekend.
Nice bird.
Can you give me a general idea where you were, 8-15, etc.? I'm not likely to make it up again this season. The 'Koots are a long way from the lower mainland for a weekend of fun w/o any meat (small as it might be) to show for it.

that is 2 birds, one big boy weighing in around 25lbs and a smaller bird close to 20, i am hunting in region 4-20.
i guess it can be a hard thing to go and find a good turkey spot when you dont live in turkey country. i am lucky that these birds are so close to home otherwise i probably wouldnt go hunt them for the small amount of meat you get from one. although it is fun, i cant help but laugh after each one comes in gobbling, even if it is just for fun to call them, they are very vocal and give away their position long before you see them.

way to go on your first gobbler, i read about it, good story, it finally came together for you after all your efforts, it was a well earned bird for you.
I got a small Jake about a week ago to, these 2 toms were called in by me and my buddies nailed them.
