Here is a picture of Ian and I during the 2007 season. The funniest part is when a flock of 5 geese landed behind us. Who would have thought that we would shoot geese while out sea duck hunting. No the sea kayak wasn't ours it was someone who was camping on the coast.

Actually found a new spot to try in the fall. Saw lots of surf scoters, whack of bluebills, may be wrong but a couple white wing scoters by the looks while in flight. I want a scoter slam for a mount.

I think we saw some white wings as well but mostly the surf scoters. If I'm not mistaken there is a hen white wing in the mix on the rock. My plan is to put together a bluebill rig and use my layout boat and have someone tender me from the aluminum.

So ive duck hunted in the ucluelet tofino area for 5ish years.... seen millions of scoters.. shot none. shot buffels wigeon mallards teal etc.
my question is this im quite sure they taste fishy, but is that buff fishy or beach mallard fishy? or are they better or worse?

Here are a few from last week with PitBoss Waterfowl in Maryland. I had him to hunt with me for eiders and he returned the favor. He carves incredible decoys and we had the pleasure to try his brand new 25' Titan from Bankes boats.

How was the ride on the Titan? From the pictures it makes his truck look small haha. Great pictures. It's a shame there's not as many duck boats on this coast as compared to all the ones for sale over there.

How was the ride on the Titan?

It is not very confortable in shop since it is still a mostly flat boat however it is a super stable shooting platform and there is more room than neeeded wich I never experienced before in a duck boat :-D.
