Anyone done any Hog hunting in Alberta or Sask.? - I see Alberta have classified Hogs as Varmits now - so the season is open - but I,m having a hard time to get any information over the net - what lic. and tag,s required and thier costs ?:-?

No tags required. Just land owners permission is required. The county has put a $50 bounty on each set of pig ears. Before the problem gets out of hand here. I know of alot of 300 to 400lbs hogs have been taken.

Hmmm fresh bacon. It would be interesting to know that info as well. May take a trip or two in the near future..

anyone have any tips as to where to go in alberta, I would LOVE to go after some pork!!!! are they more northern alberta, southern??? anyone know????

I think they have been seen all over Alberta. I would just look for a canned pig hunt farm and start looking from there. They escape from these outfits all the time.

2 buddies of mine went out and each got one around the wainright alta,both were around the 250 lb range and they both were successful with bows.make sure your shots are a quartering away shot to get behind thier shoulder plates and use a well constructed bullet if you useing a gun
