Picture taking day. As boring as park ducks are its great to get such close up shots.

That's a beautiful looking Drake Widgeon. The teal are here and more will come as they make their way back North. I imagine I'll start seeing the shovelers as well as they make their way back. I think I'm going to try and take the last week of the season off next fall to try and target the buggers who don't come through until the last minute.

Nice pics Adam...

If your down White Rock way, blackie's spit in Crescent beach (south surrey) is awesome for duck pics, especially if you are willing to wait, and an incoming tide rocks! 9 out of 10 times there are euro's there, American widgeon, GWT's, and pintails. the trails along the nikomeckl by elgin heritage park have lots of ponds which are great for taking pics. Reifel can be killer too! Last year there was some woodies and pinnies that were reasonably tame! Cinnamon's there too usually... but it'll be a bit before they are back
