We gave Breanne a new camera for Christmas and she has been putting it to some good use, taking some interesting pictures.

I thought I would share a few

when she was taking her pictures, there was a professional photographer as well in the same area, she was very impressed with Breanne's eye as well as her camera (I have no idea where she got her love of taking photos - hehehehehehe)

She is an artistic kid so if veterinary medicine doesn't pan out for her - something in the art world will I am sure :)

glad u enjoyed the pictures

she has her own animal models as well

this is Miss Cosmo - our 5 year old Bearded Dragon - as you can see she is not camera shy - which is great because Breanne received an intersting phone call about "her" and she may be staring a commercial

it is a Sony DSLR-A200 - it came with 18-70mm and 70-300mm lenses as well as it can be attached to her telescope and Peter's spotting scope.

Nice pictures, she sure gets some good shots. I have exactly the same camera and mine don't come out as well Although I did take some good flower shots from my wife's garden. Does she use the auto setting or has she figured out what all the dials and buttons do?

she is figuring out what all the buttons do - we have a very good freind who worked with her just after she got her camera to give her some ideas and then her dad helps her as well but mostly she plays with it alot - i have folders of strange angles she has taken of things and tons of flowers and such - she loves the wildlife shots as she wants to paint them - she has started doing some drawings from her photos

yes I recommend the camera - she has found it much simpler than using my camera and it takes better shots I think

thank you everyone for the compliments - I show breanne what y'all have said and she just glows, she says her camera is her way of hunting and feels very greatful to you for your kind words to her

some of them were photos she took with my camera and then when she got her camera well my isn't good enough anymore lol, there may be a few from her old camera, they are in her file on my computer called Breanne's experiments lol I keep telling her to make sure the date setting is on her camera so I know which camera she used and when. The majority are from her new camer which is the sony, my camer is a nikon D50 and her old camer was just a small Olympus

she is a pretty snake Griz - heheheh Breanne has tried to talk us into letting her have a snake but with here getting ready to leave the zoo, I do not want to be responsible for feeding the snake - giving Miss Cosmo her mealworms and crickets is enough

but reptiles sure are amazing critters to watch and learn from - I think our red ear'd slider are happy turtles with each other (gay)

Snakes are much easier to take care of than bearded dragons I'll tell you that much! Feed them every 3-6 days when they're babies, every week when their adults. Clean there tank couple times a week, make sure they have water and heat and your set!
I would love to get a bearded dragon... I'll trade you!!!

NAWT!!! =P
