First day shed hunting this year, got off nightshift this morning and handed Jr. off to grandma. I decided to go to an area that I saw 3 real good bull moose in December.
It wasn't long into the hunt that I realized they were rubbing hard trying to get them damn things off their heads. Lots of sites like this and some a fair bit worse.

Not too far away I seen a tree that looked like bull started rubbing but never finished the job, as I got closer I seen why.

Figuring he was going to be walking around all lopsided and not liking it much I searched the area and within 50 yards I found the other side.

Didn't manage to find any sheds from the big guys I seen in December but it was a good start. After about 4 hours of searching and many kilometers of snowshoeing on top of 2.5 - 3 feet of snow I started to run out of steam, guess I should have had a little breakfast after nightshift at the very least:roll: Good day and the dog did well too, he didn't complain once.
