Thanks for the photos!
I also was taken by that strange yet awesome country.
I think all young boys should spend a couple weeks there wandering on horseback and doing things that boys do. I think it would be most beneficial.

Thanks for sharing pics Mpotzold!

The last pic-so my Dad always tells me when we nip over it heading for Empire Valley-is a terminal moraine! I've never been or hunted the West side of Churn Creek before; perhaps next season!

Looks like a great place to bring the horses this summer. I want to find a place to bring our pack horses for a summer vacation ride. Would you recommend this area for 4 people 8 horses?

We saw Ted the year before & he looked as fit as a man ½ his age. His mind seems to be a lot sharper than most of the people that I have ever met. I hope that he writes another book soon particularly dealing with his local guiding/hunting adventures & the people/clients that he had to deal with. Eve & I hope to make it to Gaspard as early as Easter.(definitely this year)

I don’t know much about horses except that I’m sure that they would like to munch on that lush green grass by Gaspard Lake (see photos352,353,354). I think its crown land leased to Gang.
Check with the Ministry of Environment or somehow try to get in touch with Chilco Choate. There are some nice horse trails going from Gaspard to the scenic mountains. Good luck!

Holy crap the old fellow is still around ( chilco choate) I remember having a cup of coffee with his wife in the cook tent with my wife in 1979. Oh I guess she could be saying holy crap that hunter is still around. I hunted the gang ranch and empire valley for about 5 years and have always wanted to go back. Seeing these pic's will make it happen. Thanks.

Just got a call from my old time hunting partner. Just got back from a deer hunt north of Gang & was successful.
Said they saw 2 grizz -1 huge & 1 average not that far away at different times. Also saw 2 coyotes. No shortage of deer.

I was asked to come along but couldn't make it.
