:shock::shock::shock::shock: holy crap.... I would have a hard time shooting it as I would think that it was a small buck with a tree behind it.......:razz::razz:

If it's the I think it is, a thirteen year old kid shot it. The shots I saw were taken in the back of a pickup I thought. Scored something incredible like 247NT or so. If Dana surfing I'm sure he'll recognize it

Yeah its a real buck shot in the states. Its not the buck shot by a kid but I think it was killed by an amish guy like the first post said.

heres the email I got...with a couple pictures.

This buck was taken by a 14 year old Amish boy near Dalton WI . He used a hand made long bow and made the killing shot by stalking the huge buck using corn shocks for cover. The boy's family would not allow him to pose with the trophy animal for pictures so a nearby neighbor, Willie Flacid posed and is also acting as spokesman for the Amish boy.

According to Flacid, the Amish family has already received several offers from outdoor sporting companies to purchase the trophy. No dollar amount has been announced yet, but according to Flacid, 'the amount of money being offered is enough that no one would ever be hard up again.'

I would be happy with a WT set of antlers like this one ,I would have had the entire animal mounted if I did shoot one of this size.

one hell of a buck. I would hate to have shot that as a kid it would of made the rest of your hunting career suck.

here is the real info of this buck...right off the boone and crocket site...

This buck has been the rounds again of late. Here are the facts:

This tremendous non-typical was taken with a crossbow by Amish hunter John Schmucker in Adams County, Ohio in 2006. It was entered into the Club's 26th Awards period (2004, 2005, 2006) with an official score of 295-3/8. Incredibly, at this Awards Program, this buck tied with another buck with the same score for the 1st Award in the non-typical whitetail category. The other buck was taken by Scott Dexter in 2004 from McDonough County, Illinois.
