THAT is what I love about bowhunting elk!! I haven't been that close yet, but I had a nice 5 pt come in to about 8 feet and just stare at me once, for what seemed like an eternity...I was packing a recurve at the tiime and it was during a 6pt season. That moment is one of my best hunting trophies of all time.

Awesome footage!!! Ive been within 10ft. of elk twice now, but the best for me was a huge 350 class bull I called in the day after I tagged a smaller bull. I was crouched behind a small bush not moving as he came to about 7 yards staring right down on me. Was a very awesome experience that would of never happened if I had a tag!
