Not sure if this site has been posted. It's not the whole province but once you figure it out it's not bad. BCKID

Chevman;
If you can make it down, Metchosin Meats outside of Victoria makes some of the best sausage we've ever had! I live in Nanaimo, but go to Victoria for work a couple times a week. I'd be happy to take your meat in for you as well as pick it up. PM me if you need phone numbers or any help at all!
Also, new meat shop just opened in Nanaimo, Nesvog Sausage and Meats. Have not tried his product, but he is a client of mine and I've heard good things about his sausage.

Here you go posted again.
Here are a few links to some mapping programs. It's hard to say what's best. You need to fool around with all of them to find out which one will meet your spacific needs.
I am first off a Forestry Engineer, I work on the West Coast, Secondly I'm a GIS tech, so I also create maps for a living. I have found it very hard to obtain "free public maps" off of the internet. The best one I have found so far is Online Cadestre. http://www.lrdw.ca/ (http://srmwww.gov.bc.ca/sgb/IMF/), but also check out these other links.
The best ting that you can do, is probably contact the areas Ministry of Forests, and they will be able to provide you with a map, and also ask them for the local forestry company and contractors contact information and they should be able to send you a map as well.
Good luck,
Vadim

That Google map thing was unbelievable,I could see my permanant camp(camper with a blue tarp over it)in the sat photo!Incredible definition except some places didn`t have the hi resolution photo`s ,but very cool to see in such detail the places I`ve walked a thousand times.Really gives you a new respect for guys like David Thompson and Lewis&Clark who mapped this country from ground level with such incredible accuracy!!!

I went and looked and saw the area I hunted this year and found the exact spot where we camped, where I walked and where I shot my deer. Pretty neat stuff indeed. John

Don't always trust what you see on Google. Some of the photos are pretty old. :oops: Last time I checked the Barriere fire from 2003 was still pre-fire and they were showing Highway 24 as going up the Eakin Creek FSR:oops:.
If you want good quality up to date maps, make friends with someone in the MoFR and have them print you the latest orthophotos with the layers that you want turned on. Almost the entire province is re-photoed at least once every four years, and with the beetle epidemic, a lot of the interior is done each year.
