??? Grouse ???

Have a friend who got his dog back from a trainer,and was wondering about any areas in or around Princeton for hunting grouse ???

Personaly myself i dont know much about dogs,so i assume it will need to be in open areas ?

Ive fished around the Pike mtn area,but thats been years and cant recall what the area is like !!!

Any info would be appreciated .....

Just back from a weekend up that area, limited out on chickens - Odin had a hay day :) (didn't see any deer though)

The road off at 15km, was good to us, left lots behind too. Find a nice semi-open area on the side and let the dog out... should be no problem.

John Burns Lake (14km) wasn't too bad either, some nice old over-grown roads to walk.

Was just there for any buck opening, kiddy up ..... shot blues and franklins.
Best when it was sunny, other wise pound the bush, look for willow, alder thicks with berrys near by, ours were full of them
