I was up in Logan Lake last weekend for the first time. LOTS of road hunters. I picked a few good looking ridges and still hunted. Saw about a dozen does and two spiker bucks, as well as two cow moose. Beautiful area, my buddy did very well flyfishing also.

Hi

Try thinking outside the box8)- just across the highway

I have been up in the Lac le June area before and have seen many Blackies. Alot of small ones mind you but great in numbers. They actually are a problem often to the campground there. Its the other side of logan lake and just the same type of terrain. Across from Logan lake area

Theres Bear up there no doubt. Buddy of mine got a blackie last spring near Lac le June.

Get out there and shoot one:)

I would seriously consider 3-18 up on Chataway Mountain. There are some monster blackies up there and a pretty fair population of cinnamon phase bruisers. The muleys up there don't have huge spreads but they have amazing junk. A couple of years back I was scouting one particular buck in the summer and Paul from the resort shot it at Dot Lake and it had a 25" spread and was an 8x10. Though they lack the big spread they do have some serious body mass! Have fun, I doubt there will be many hunters out this weekend!:confused:
