Well, the Wife got her licence, put in for a moose draw, got the draw, shot the moose. 45 yrds, 270wsm,, cool as a cucumber for the whole thing.

Neato, Congrats to your wife on her first moose! A nice eater by the looks of it.
Wicked wound though, what angle was the moose at when she shot?

it was a nosler ballistic tip 140 gr. loaded to about 2850fps. it was quarting away looking back at her

it was a nosler ballistic tip 140 gr. loaded to about 2850fps. it was quarting away looking back at her
I suspected this, Ballisitc tips are nassty at that range.
there were rib bits everywhere

I was hoping loaded down to momma loads they wouldnt be a problem,, use up what I had kickin around and the world would just keep on turning,,, didnt count on this sucker being 45yrds away.. it was all perfect though otherwise,, she droped to 1 knee, took a deep breath and sqeezed the trigger slowly,, double lunged, hardly walked at all.

Good job, I wish my wife would hunt with me! I don't know how you did it wearing a pink and blue jacket and blue sweat pants!!

she has a moose outfit she wears, its a secret though so she took it off for the pics!
