Well I finally made it home after a long season. Had a great time, but had to deal with some real bad weather. The first 3 sheep hunts went well, but on the 4th hunt we were only able to hunt 2 days out of a 10 day hunt, due to fog and snow. Got my hunter 4 shots at a ram but he missed. On the 5th sheep hunt, my hunter quit on me on day 4, so I didn't get a ram then either. But had some good moose and caribou hunts. Here are some pictures:

I love the NWT. It is beautiful up there, but then again so is BC. And the Yukon. We are quite lucky in Canada.

Nice pics.

Very Very nice. What are the size limits on sheep/moose and caribou up there or are there any? I am thinking of going after a Dall up there, would I be able to get some price info from you? Again nice animals.

Looks like an awesome season, beauty rams! You didn't happen to hunt with a guy named Dana from New York did you, he said he was headed up there. I'm glad to hear we weren't the only ones getting bad weather. Did you notice that it changed the behavior and travel patterns of the sheep at all?

Hey Kootenayelkslayer,

You have a life and opportunities that many envie. Keep doing it while you can, and enjoy every minute of it. Being a guide is not an easy life...I've done it.
YOu can only do so much with hunters that have a tough time shooting straight...under pressure. As well the weather can test the skills of any guide however when your dealing with fog and snow, Good Luck!!
Anyway, looks like you had a good safe season. Enjoy and remember them.

Hey, ya I did have a guy named Dana. I guided him on that first moose, but not on his ram. He did really well with that nice moose, plus shot a 40 inch ram. Were you up at Arctic Red this year?

Shouldn't this be in the Out of Province section?

Good work guiding and great pics.

I've been in with Kelly @ Arctic Red for Dall's and Eric @ NWT for moose & caribou. If they ever open a grizzly season I'll rebook with either of them as the Mackenzie Mtns were like hunting on the moon. Just beautiful.

I've had dinner with Stan in Reno at FNAWS before and would consider a hunt with them.

Were the moose a back pack effort by chance? I would hope not for your sake!
