so who here is counting the days down to the opening?

what size shot do you use for geese? I use #2 for the first two shots and a T shot for the third.

I reload BB for the first, second, and third shot on Geese. 1 1/4 oz of steel shot doing 1475 fps out of a Remington Premier 3 inch hull with Alliant steel powder. For ducks I use a combination of #2, and #3 shot in the same hulls. That way I never have to compensate for change in speed between duck and goose loads.

Marc.

I'm reading your post with a baited breath, Never pulled the trigger on a bird other than grouse before, sounds like fun.

it sounds like its going to be..we saw a small group in the field over feeding/beded. That sight had our hearts pumping...The field where we are hunting the farmer said its been pretty busy with geese and i also noticed the corn he planted on the perimeter of the one field the blind is on...oh yes! here birdy birdy
