I took a couple pictures with my new camera while I had Maddy out for some pre-season training and conditioning.
I sure like the new camera (a Canon EOS Rebel).

Cool, I like the first one. Is the camera a full size or compact?

Is it the SLR Dano?

They take some amazing pictures don't they. The new ones now have image stabilizing built in them.

That top pic is fantastic.

The EOS Rebel is a great camera....wish I had one! One of these years it'll make the top of the list. :D

Thanks for the comments.
The Rebel XSI is a full size (SLR?) and this one has 12.1 megs and it came with an 18-55mm lens and a 75-300mm lens. I think it was about $1100 after taxes at Best Buy.
I lucked out, my son was getting married (mid-july) and my daughter is having our first grandchild at the end of October.... Easy to talk the wife into a high end camera with these events on the agenda! The wedding photos I took were awesome, it's already worth the price (and I'll make sure to bring the camera along on those bluebird days out in the marsh).
I took these photos with the 75-300 lens, I trimmed them down a little too.

The Rebels a great line up, prefect for hunting pictures whether it be action shots or stack'em shots. Its great to have different lens like you have. You can get a lot closer shots at incoming birds by switched to a higher power lens.

Now just dont drop that expensive camera somewhere in the marsh, I dont think warranty covers perils of waterfowl hunting.

Hey Dano, I bring mine rain or shine. I pack it in a big ziplock bag just in case.

A nice SLR really does take awesome pictures as evidenced above, just so hard to pack around when you're hunting...

#1 and #3 should be framed on your den wall. Very nice.

For a "bomb proof" digital that you can use inder less than optimum conditions you might want to consider the Olympus Stylus 1030 SW. It's not in the same league as the Rebel re: features but you can drop it on concrete from 6ft up, into 30 ft of water or operate it at -10 C. It's small, light, has an 2.7" LCD monitor, an internal 3.6 optic zoom, 10+ megs and many other features that make taking pictures in the great outdoors easier/better.
